IPRN hosts inaugural symposium
The International Pedagogic Research Network will formally launch with its inaugural online symposium on Friday 10th July 2026. The PedRes Network, as it is known informally, brings together participants from countries all round the world, including Italy, Canada, Hong Kong, UAE, USA, Australia, to name but a few. The symposium has proved popular with nearly 300 registered participants and a packed programme, promising to be a truly global introduction to the field of pedagogic research and associated activities.
The mission of the PedRes network is to connect colleagues who teach or support teaching in higher education, and to provide guidance, support, and resources to engage in pedagogic research. Most importantly, we want to provide opportunities to connect with like-minded colleagues who are keen to research about teaching and learning. The network will provide a space for everyone, from early career starters, more experienced colleagues new to the principles of pedagogic research and established pedagogic researchers. We will offer opportunities to learn about core methods and approaches to pedagogic research, have a safe space to share challenges and seek support, and access to background literature and resources that support pedagogic research practice.
